What is Leeds Mapped out?

Leeds is a Vibrant and diverse city rich in culture and history. However it is all to easy to get caught in the hustle and bustle of the city's daily life and miss out on it's richness. That is why a group of people have got together with a common goal: to develop a resource that allows everyone to interact with leeds on a deeper level.

Project aim

To create a resource for everyone to connect with the city of leeds on a deeper level. A platform to shares stories whilst holding artistic responsibility in a variety of ways both from a multi-national and local perspective.

Having developed a project aim and surveyed locations and the unique meanings held by them. Drawing from performances such as Invisible Flock and Third Angel, we wanted to come up with a digital and physical collective of these locations and being able to transport viewers, participants to these many various places digitally. In the coming steps, we came up with site-specific performances for each location and digitally making these internet accessible through QR codes. To maintain the physical quality and loci of the performances we came up with a alternate leeds map connected with wool and thread linking a very physical QR Leeds alternate map upon scanning that takes you to an alternate multiverse of the city of Leeds.
